Can Transformational Life Coaching Help Me With My Fear Of Sales?

Most often the fear and anxiety surrounding sales stems from the beliefs we attach to what “selling” means.

Many of the talented sales professionals and entrepreneurs I’ve met and coached are deeply aligned with what they offer and genuinely care about their clients. Naturally, when sales goals aren’t achieved, it raises concerns and renewed pressure to improve performance and leaves them questioning their own competence and value.

The truth is, it’s not always about skill or effort. Instead, limiting beliefs about self-worth, money, and selling hold them back. Alas, even the most brilliant sales strategies can’t correct this internal setting.

Common anxiety behaviors include hesitating or “choking” when it’s time to respond to inquiries, to follow up or ask for the sale. Some delay conversations, others avoid them by focusing on non-sales tasks, and many stay stuck preparing, waiting to “feel ready.”

I was always drawn to sales but avoided it for years, influenced by beliefs that selling was pushy or insincere. That mindset shaped my approach until I opened a very successful high-end women’s boutique in my rural hometown. Despite no formal retail experience, the boutique thrived because I was passionate and committed. Still, self-doubt lingered: Could I really sell? Would customers see the value?

After selling the boutique to a loyal customer, I moved into corporate sales and training, which was a new world where I quickly became an award-winning top performer. Yet even with success, old doubts resurfaced.

Working with a transformational life coach helped me uncover and shift those patterns, allowing me to be open and ready to confidently embrace opportunities. That life altering experience inspired me to become certified in the same methodology, which I now use to help others overcome their internal barriers.

The most common limiting beliefs clients and I uncover together include:
“Talking about money is uncomfortable or wrong.”
This creates emotional resistance in sales conversations.

“I’m not good enough” or “I don’t deserve success.”
These beliefs make every rejection feel personal and every win seem like luck.

“Success will lead to judgment or rejection.”
Fear of social backlash can unconsciously limit performance.

“Selling means being pushy or manipulative.”
This misconception blocks authentic engagement even when the offering is valuable.

My Transformational Coaching program offers a proven, structured, and repeatable process to acknowledge and address limiting beliefs that quietly undermine confidence, consistency, and sales performance. When we recognize our blocks, they cease to affect us in the same way, and selling transforms from a stressful or uncomfortable transaction into a genuine act of service grounded in integrity and value.

To your success!
