After digging and digging into our past wounds, shadows, traumas, shortcomings, pains etc., all of which seems never-ending because even when we think we have healed, either it recurs or a new issue pops up, how do we know that we have advanced spiritually?
There’s no fireworks or big bang announcing that we have indeed crossed a milestone in our spiritual development, but we will notice the following signs (amongst others):-
- Less Triggers
We become triggered less often. And even when we are triggered, our anxiety, pain, stress, anger tend to be short-lived.
- More Peace
We find our lips unconsciously curling upwards into a smile, we feel a quiet joy even if nothing is happening in our lives.
- More Detachment
We no longer obsess over what others thinks of us, whether we have done or said what would have been best.
We just trust that what has been done will bring us whatever results is best for us, and if people are meant to be with us, they will be.
No more chasing, no more drama.
- No Need to Prove Ourselves
We no longer have that much a need to prove our point, even if we have been falsely accused or unjustly insulted.
Because we know our self-worth, and that others are merely reflecting their own wounds, or being triggered by something within us.
- Looking Within Ourselves, and not at Others
When others get aggressive with us or are mean to us, instead of rebutting instantly, we pause and ask ourselves whether there is also something within us that is a mirror of the behaviour that we don’t like from the other party.
Even if we don’t always succeed, the fact that we now do pause before we react defensively immediately, already shows a shift in our consciousness to greater self-awareness.
- No Need to Save the World
We no longer feel the driving need to save the world, because our ego has diminished. And we recognize that this saviour syndrome is simply our ego and/or the need to control others, to make them see things the way we do.
Because we now understand that everyone has their free will to live and act as they choose. It is not up to us to dictate, judge or feel angsty about some one else’s choice to live the way or think the way they do.
- No Driving Need for Fulfilment of Life Purpose
This is one of the biggest signs of an upgrade in frequency.
Because this need that we feel deep inside us is one of the hardest to satisfy, as it actually derives from a very deep-seated sense of lack, i.e., the lack of contentment with ourselves, with our lives, as we are, as it is.
Fulfilment of Life Purpose is one of our major soul contracts, and is therefore a great driving force for us to keep searching and trying.
However, quite often even when we think we have discovered our Life Purpose, yet it’s not that easy to move ahead full speed into it.
Why?
Because the real life purpose within us is to develop ourselves.
Certainly we can help others when we have achieved certain breakthroughs , but that help will be limited because our perspectives are still limited by our own unhealed wounds.
When our real breakthrough comes, the strong driving force of seeking our Divine Life Purpose ironically diminishes.
This is because we know that if we are meant to help someone, he/she will find his/her way to us one way or another.
Even more importantly, we are now feeling whole and complete. That deep-seated lack within us has vanished.
There is thus no longer any need for us to seek to play messiah to anyone else. Instead, we will await God’s instructions to act accordingly.
