Birthday’s and Homeopathy

Yesterday was my birthday — which means today I’m sitting here with coffee and that familiar “birthday portal” feeling I get every single year.

And because I’m a Taurus (yes, the most stubborn, sensual, comfort‑loving earth sign of them all), I’ve started to notice a pattern:
my birthday energy hits differently.
Every. Single. Year.

It’s like my vital force sets an alarm for mid‑May and says,
“Alright, everyone, places please — it’s time for the annual recalibration.”

Astrologically, your birthday is your solar return — the moment the sun returns to the exact degree it was at when you were born.

Energetically, it’s like the universe hands you a fresh download and says:
“Happy Birthday! Please install this update. Side effects may include reflection, clarity, emotional release, and the sudden urge to reorganize your entire life.”

And because I’m a Taurus, I do this update slowly, steadily, and preferably with snacks.

Every year around my birthday, I notice the same things:

  • old symptoms revisiting
  • emotional memories surfacing
  • a deep desire to ground, simplify, and reset
  • clarity about what needs to shift

A well‑chosen constitutional remedy around this time feels like a gentle but powerful reset — a return to my original blueprint.

Since I’m a Taurus, I can confidently say:
we are a whole experience.

Taurus energy is:

  • grounded
  • sensual
  • comfort‑seeking
  • loyal
  • stubborn (but only when we’re right… which is often)
  • deeply connected to the body and the senses

And interestingly, Taurus themes show up in homeopathy too.

Taurus is ruled by Venus — the planet of beauty, pleasure, comfort, and embodiment.
So Taurus energy often resonates with remedies that share themes of:

  • grounding
  • stability
  • physicality
  • digestion and metabolism
  • throat/neck concerns (Taurus rules the throat) and funny enough I’ve been battling a cold now for over a week.
  • resistance to change until the body says “enough”… hence the cold

Some remedies that echo Taurus‑like qualities (symbolically, not prescriptively) include:

Calcarea Carbonica

Steady, grounded, dependable.
Loves routine, comfort, and security.
Can resist change until absolutely necessary.
Basically the Taurus of the materia medica.

Natrum Muriaticum

Deep feeler, loyal, steady, values emotional privacy.
Slow to open, but deeply committed once they do.
Very Taurus-coded.

Pulsatilla

Soft, gentle, earthy, connected to nature.
Loves comfort, warmth, and reassurance.
A more tender, Venusian expression.

Lycopodium

Routine-loving, food-loving, comfort-loving.
Can be stubborn when out of balance.
A Taurus on a stressful day.

Again — not “Taurus = this remedy,” but the energetic parallels are fun and surprisingly insightful.

Every May, without fail, I experience:

  • A deep grounding
Like my body wants to root into the earth and recalibrate.
  • A desire to simplify
Decluttering, reorganizing, clearing out old energy.
  • A surge of clarity
Taurus may move slowly, but when we decide — we decide.
  • A return to embodiment
Food, movement, rest, pleasure — all feel more meaningful.
  • A softening
    The stubbornness melts into steadiness.
    The resistance melts into readiness.
The “I’ll deal with it later” becomes “Okay, let’s do this.”

It’s like my vital force uses my birthday as a yearly grounding ritual.

Birthdays aren’t just about aging — they’re about aligning.
And as a Taurus, I feel that alignment in my bones (and probably in my throat chakra too).

Every year, my birthday reminds me:

  • to slow down
  • to ground
  • to listen
  • to honour my body
  • to embrace the steady unfolding of my path

Homeopathy supports that beautifully.
Astrology explains it symbolically.
And Taurus season wraps it all in a warm, earthy hug.

So yes — yesterday was my birthday.
Yes — I’m already noticing the shifts.
And yes — I fully plan to eat more cake while contemplating my solar return.

Because if there’s one thing Taurus energy teaches us, it’s this:
Healing is slow, steady, sensual, and deeply personal — and it always tastes better with dessert.
