Paracetamol may not be as safe as perceived in older people, according to a new study

New research, led by experts at the University of Nottingham, has found that repeated doses of paracetamol in people aged 65 and over, can lead to an increased risk of gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and renal complications.

I can tell you from direct experience that it is not good. While in college, one of my projects was to design a pediatric raspberry-flavored paracetamol syrup, and after doing taste tests, I got sooooo sick I couldn’t get out of bed for days. Admittedly, all allopathic medicines really do a number on me, but this was proof for me that this medication is not as innocuous as they claim it is.

@karina Not exactly sure if they ‘required” me to do taste tests, but the project was about formulating a pediatric syrup that would taste good, so I had to test it to make sure I got a “good grade”, thinking it was a harmless product.
