We’ve had a week of tornadoes and storms here in TN. Tornadoes on the ground withing 15 miles of my home. 3 years ago our home was hit by an EF1 and an EF3 on the same day. It was very fortunate that just the edges brushed our home and damage was not immense. 9 people died and many of my neighbours lost their homes. It does unsettle me now when the storms come, but I am lucky that I bought a storm shelter [my husband is disabled and it had to be above ground] and this week we were in it for 5 days straight. Coming out only to change the air out and let the dogs exercise in between storms. The flooding has spared us, but all around us people are having a rough time. I’ve donated to all the local orgs that are helping and given items via rescue setups. It’s important to keep on top of your own wellbeing at the same time as helping others. In light of this I’m sharing my go to Kapha Balancing meal. Trying to balance out some of the doom, gloom and dampness of the week. Enjoy!
